Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge, Suzanne's "reflecting the sky"
One particularly nice aspect of the Carpe Diem Haiku Kai website is the communal aspect - here with have one, with the Tan Renga, with one participant, one of the gang's haiku used as a Tan Renga with 2 more lines added. The haiku is by Suzanne, http://suzannemillerwritings.wordpress.com/, one of my favourite writers, with this blog's two lines added.
reflecting the sky
rainwater in a fallen leaf
-embodied light
the gardener rakes the grass
a thousand tiny mirrors

FF 100W Stories - The Ripples Felt
ON BOARD LOG: Mid-day, 11 March 2011
We sail towards Mt Fuji, the old Chinese wooden junk creaking at every turn and every caress of each wave. I have never known such peace and quiet. The water gently ripples against our hull, and we wait for the beautiful view, and the chance to renew our vows.
Not even a monsoon could stop us now. Yuko has been on deck painting Mt Fuji's beauty, and its calming spiritual strength and blessing seems to have
guided us well. If this were ever to be my last entry, I would like all to know it is one of the happiest,
most serene moments of our lives.
